What Is A
Rake
Poker is a game where players wager
money against one another instead of other casino games
where people play versus the house. The casino/cardroom is
there to make money so they have to charge something for
poker games and this is where the rake comes in. Poker is
a player versus player game and the house does not wager
against its players (unlike blackjack or roulette) so this
fee is the principal mechanism to generate revenues. A
rake is a portion of chips taken out of each pot that the
casino keeps. In each poker hand that we play the poker site is taken 5% of the pot up to 3 $ and in the tournaments we pay 10% of the cost of the entrance. This hinders a lot obtaining a benefit playing to the poker, mainly in low limits.

What
Is A RakeBack
Frequently,
a rakeback deal can be the difference between a winning
and losing player. A rakeback is the refund of a money's percentage
that the player paid in the rake.. It's a great help to fight against the house and his constant leak called rake.
The money you receive back each month can either make you a breakeven player (increase your enjoyment from poker), become your actual winnings if you are now a breakeven player or SIGNIFICANTLY add to your profit if you are a winning player.
3.-
How
much Rakeback can you expect?
The rake is calculated as the total rake paid in the table divide among the number of players playing the hand. For example, if the room takes 3$ of rake and were distributed cards to 10 players, its considered that each player paid 0.30$ of rake.
We use
this simple equation used to estimate rake:
(5%
* Average pot size* Raked hands) / Players = Rake
Example
1.-
Hours Played Per Day - 2 (or 1
with 2 tables) | Game Played - 2/4 NL
Average pot size = $40
Hands Per Hour => 50 => Total
= 50 * 2 hours = 100 hands per day
Average Rake per Hand => $40 *
0.05 = $2
Your contribution to rake of the hand assuming 9 players
=> $2 / 9 = $0.22
(0.05*40*100)
/ 9 = $22.22
Rake Paid Per
Day = - $22.22
Rake
Paid Per Month = - $666
Rake Paid Per Year = -
$8,000
Now, if you have 30% Rakeback
Deal you will RECOVER:
Monthly =
+ $200
Yearly =
+ $2,400
Example 2.-
Hours Played Per Day - 10 (2.5
hours with 4 tables) | Game Played - .50/1 Fixed Limit
Average pot size = $25
Hands Per Hour => 65 => Total
= 65 * 10 hours = 650 hands per day
Average Rake per Hand => $2.5 *
0.05 = $1.25
Your contribution to rake of the hand assuming 9 players
=> $1.25 / 9 = $0.139
(0.05*25*650)
/ 9 = $90.28
Rake Paid Per Day =
- $90.28
Rake
Paid Per Month = - $2,708
Rake Paid Per Year = -
$32,496
Now,
if you have 30% Rakeback Deal you will RECOVER:
Monthly =
+ $812
Yearly =
+ $9,748

Rakeback
Increases Poker Win Rate
The amount of poker players that are
interested in rakeback has increased by such large amounts
over the last two years that there are now multiple poker
web sites and poker forums that are solely dedicated to
the subject of rakeback.
How Bonuses
Effect Rakeback
A common area of confusion for
on-line poker players who receive rakeback, or are
thinking about signing up for rakeback, is the effect that
bonuses have on the amount of rakeback that the player
will earn.
Online
Poker vs Live Poker
The ‘rake’
can be defined as the fee the poker room charges players
(from here on out ‘poker room’
or ‘house’ is referring to
a casino, online poker room, local card club/poker room,
or a game run by an individual(s)). There are generally
two different methods that are used by the house to
collect the rake.
How Is
Rakeback Calculated
Many poker players can become
confused when trying to calculate the amount of rakeback
they have earned. Even when not trying to manually figure
this out, they might not understand how their rakeback is
calculated. There are currently three different methods
that a particular poker room will use to calculate
rakeback.
